On the way out of the Carlton Gardens, was this house. I liked the splashes of different colours.
The next day, we set out from Brunswick, with the plan to walk to Fitzroy (and then meet up with our friend, Rob). Along the way, we saw some really pretty houses.
New Zealand. In Fitzroy.

Once in Fitzroy, funky artwork was everywhere.
Aside from the weird sculptures, there was a series of decorated benches, every block or so.
We met up with Rob, and he took us to an observation deck. This is Port Phillip Bay by way of Melbourne city.
Looking up Elizabeth St, towards Brunswick.
Along the Yarra river (with Natalie’s reflection).
The Melbourne Arts Centre, from above.
Heading back to Brunswick, we caught sight of these colourful buggers. Galah.
The next day, we were out at Barwon Heads.
In the background, teens and tweens leap into the water.
The Heads themselves.
At the top of the heads, I spied this falcon? Hawk? He was flying into the wind, and not making much headway.
Natalie looks out, towards Antarctica.
A rare moment, when someone else gets hold of the camera.
Natalie. Unimpressed with the temperature of the water.
