Camping in Namibia is full of excitement and challenges. This is easily the cheapest way to find accommodation in Namibia (without staying at a lodge!). We spent a month self driving in Namibia in March of 2018. We drove across the border with South Africa in the south, making our way to the coast at Lüderitz, inland through the desert and then back to the coast at Swakopmund. We left Namibia via Etosha, and then the Caprivi region before heading south into Botswana.
